- Served on the National Association of Basketball Rules Committee at a time when many modern day rules were established
- President of the National Association of Basketball Coaches in 1938 and was intrumental in forming the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament
- Member of Marquette University's M Club Hall of Fame
