- Member of the men’s golf teams (1952 and 1953) that placed in the top-20 in the NCAA Championships.
- 1953 Wisconsin State Amateur Championship medalist.
- Longtime supporter of the men’s and women’s Wisconsin golf programs.
- Member of the planning committee to establish University Ridge Golf Course in 1991.
- Provided generous financial support to fully endow men’s golf team scholarships.
- Provided a leadership gift to establish the Golf Indoor Training Center in 2011.
- Created the University of Wisconsin-Madison Recreation & Wellbeing Sport Club Endowment.
- 1950 Western Junior Team Champion with teammate Doug Koepcke.
- At Madison West High School, part of the 1949 Boys State Championship golf team and the 1947 runner-up team.
