Administration – Athletic Trainer (1975-2017)
As an undergraduate student intern, worked with the 1973 National Championship men’s hockey team
In 1974, worked as an intern with the Philadelphia Eagles football club
Started working at UW in 1975 with football and men’s hockey, winning multiple NCAA titles with men’s hockey
Became UW’s head athletic trainer in 1984 and worked with the Big Ten and Rose Bowl teams in 1994, 1999 and 2000
Served as the athletic trainer for the United States men’s hockey team at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo
While serving as president of the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Association in 2000, was key to obtaining licensure of athletic trainers in Wisconsin
Inducted into the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame in 2001
Served as the Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine starting in 2003
Worked with the UW women’s hockey team from 2008-2017, winning two NCAA titles
An advocate for women, especially after the passage of Title IX; committed to providing access to medical care for female student-athletes from all sports and promoting growth opportunities for female staff members
