  • As an undergraduate student intern, worked with the 1973 National Championship men’s hockey team
  • In 1974, worked as an intern with the Philadelphia Eagles football club
  • Started working at UW in 1975 with football and men’s hockey, winning multiple NCAA titles with men’s hockey
  • Became UW’s head athletic trainer in 1984 and worked with the Big Ten and Rose Bowl teams in 1994, 1999 and 2000
  • Served as the athletic trainer for the United States men’s hockey team at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo
  • While serving as president of the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Association in 2000, was key to obtaining licensure of athletic trainers in Wisconsin
  • Inducted into the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame in 2001
  • Served as the Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine starting in 2003
  • Worked with the UW women’s hockey team from 2008-2017, winning two NCAA titles
  • An advocate for women, especially after the passage of Title IX; committed to providing access to medical care for female student-athletes from all sports and promoting growth opportunities for female staff members
