  • Led Wisconsin to 26 Big Ten Championships - 13 indoor titles and 13 outdoor championships, the most in Big Ten sports history
  • Led UW to the Team Title at the 2007 NCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships, becoming the first Big Ten school to win an indoor title
  • Hired three cross country coaches who all won at least one NCAA National Team Championship
  • During his head coaching tenure, the cross country and track programs produced 52 Big Ten team titles, 26 cross country, and 26 track and field
  • Coach six Olympians, 11 NCAA Individual Champions, and 165 Big Ten Individual Champions
  • Led Wisconsin to 10 'Big Ten Crowns' by sweeping the cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track Team Championships in an academic year
  • Wisconisn earned 19 Academic All-America Honors and 291 Academic All-Big Ten Selections during tenure
  • Won 22 Big Ten Coach of the Year Honors, 11 Regional Honors, and was named the US Track and Field Coach of the Year in 2007
