Has worked tirelessly promoting issues of diversity and equal opportunity in both athletics and at the university
Long-recognized as a leader in the Madison and university community, she is vice chair of Capitol Lakes Board of Directors; a member of the Madison Club, and Bascom Hill Society; and was honored with the Madison Civics Club Advocate Award in 1999
