- 1980 gold medalist at the Lucerne International Rowing Regatta, the first ever victory over the East German Olympic champions
- 1981 gold medalist in the Women’s Four at the Henley Royal Regatta
- 1981 gold medalist in the Women’s Pair with rowing teammate Carie Graves in the Nile River Armaco Rowing Festival
- 1991 and 2016 USRowing Hall of Fame inductee with the 1980 and 1976 Olympic Women’s Eight
- 2019 Madison Sports Hall of Fame inductee
