- Drafted in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys
- In 2013, became the first rookie in Dallas’ franchise history to start every game at center; was selected to the NFL All-Rookie team
- Named a captain for the Dallas Cowboys in 2016
- Selected to five Pro Bowls and earned First-Team All-Pro honors in 2016
- The 2020 George Halas Award winner, given yearly by the Pro Football Writers of America to an NFL player, coach or staff member who overcomes the most adversity to succeed
