Twelve different Badgers registered points as the Wisconsin men's hockey team (3-2-0 overall) claimed a 5-2 victory over Boston College (2-4) in the series opener.
Junior Brad Winchester and sophomore Dan Boeser were the only two Badgers to earn multiple points, each assisting on a pair of UW scores.

Sophomore Andy Wozniewski and senior Matt Hussey scored next for the Badgers to give the UW a 3-0 advantage at the 14:43 mark in the second.
The Eagles made it 3-1 late in the second period as freshman Ryan Murphy earned his first collegiate goal, assisted by Ned Havern and Ales Dolinar.
UW goaltender Scott Kabatoff, who is 2-1 on the season, was beaten on an unassisted goal by J.D. Forrest just after a BC power play as the Eagles cut the Badgers lead to one goal at the 5:08 mark of the third period.
Senior David Hukalo gave Wisconsin some insurance four minutes later, scoring the Badgers' only power-play goal of the evening. Wisconsin was 1-of-4 with a man advantage while holding the Eagles scoreless on their eight power plays.
Senior captain Andy Wheeler capped off the scoring, with assists by senior Kent Davyduke and Boeser.
Boston College returns to the Kohl Center ice Saturday for the back half of the series. The puck drops at 7:00 p.m.
