
UW Well Represented at Four Nations Cup

While the schedule might indicate that the No. 1 Badgers are off this week, six members of the UW women's hockey program will represent Wisconsin at the Four Nations Cup in Kitchener, Ontario beginning Nov. 7 and running through Nov. 12.
Current Badgers Erika Lawler (Fitchburg, Mass.) and Jinelle Zaugg (Eagle River, Wis.) will represent the United States while Bobbi-Jo Slusar (Swift Current, Saskatchewan) will play for Canada along with former Badger and current UW undergraduate assistant Carla MacLeod. Also, UW head coach Mark Johnson will lead Team USA while Wisconsin's Director of Hockey Operations Paul Hickman will serve as Team USA's equipment manager.
The United States and Canada met Tuesday night in their first game of round robin play with Canada claiming a 3-0 decision. The other two nations competing in the tournament, Finland and Sweden, opened action at the Four Nations Cup with Sweden defeating Finland 8-3 on Tuesday.
Round robin play continues Wednesday and Friday before the bronze medal and gold medal games are held on Saturday. Full schedules for the United States and Canada can be found below.
The gold medal game on Saturday afternoon will be aired live on TSN in Canada.
