Five earn academic accolades
December 03, 2008 | Women's Soccer
The Wisconsin women's soccer team had five Badgers named to the Academic All-Big Ten list for fall 2008. Wisconsin had 47 student-athletes named to the list from six different sports including men's soccer, men's and women's cross country, football and volleyball.
Sheri Ferron, Michele Dalton, Dani Fischer, Stephanie Krombach and Taylor Walsh represented women's soccer for the academic honor. To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Sophomores Fischer and Dalton both remain undeclared for their first-time honor. Walsh is a three-time selection as a Legal Studies major. Ferron and Krombach are both two-time honorees as a Kinesiology and Sports Medicine major, respectively.
