MADISON, Wis. - Looking to bounce back from Saturday's setback against in-state rival Green Bay, the Wisconsin men's tennis team played an impressive dual against the University of Nebraska-Omaha and swept all matches to earn a 7-0 victory on Sunday.

"Yesterday was a difficult loss for us," said head coach Greg Van Emburgh. "But it was nice to rebound back today and get the win. Hopefully we can move forward into our conference season and play the tennis I know we are capable of playing."

The Badgers started off the match dominating doubles play, nearly winning on all three courts. Freshmen Josef Dodridge and Jose Maria Martin De Oliva Carranza dispatched Nebraska-Omaha's Nathan Greteman and Colin Buckley on court 1, 8-6.

On court 2, Alexander Kokorev and Jakhongir Jalalov quickly defeated their Maverick opponents by a final score of 8-1. Darius Mackenzie and John Zordani were one point away from a victory on court 3 and led 7-6 with the advantage in deuce at the time of the match's conclusion.

In singles play, UW continued its strong showing by earning wins on courts 1-6.

Jalalov defeated UNO's Minic in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1, and the match marked his first singles victory of the season. Kokorev also earned his first win of the season by taking down Anderson on court 2, 6-1, 6-2.

At No. 1 singles, Dodridge outplayed his opponent Buckley by a final score of 6-1, 6-2, while his doubles partner Carranza dispatched Nebraska-Omaha's Warson, 6-1, 6-2.

Zordani and Michael Sinha similarly downed their Maverick foes in two sets to round out the undefeated contest. With his win, Sinha remained unbeaten in singles action and improved to 2-0 on the season.
