Lavelle and McNicoll garner W-League Conference honors

MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin women's soccer duo of Rose Lavelle and Kinley McNicoll garnered individual team honors from the United Soccer Leagues (USL) W-League this week, as Lavelle earned all-league and all-conference nods, and McNicoll was an all-conference honoree.
Both Lavelle and McNicoll played for the Seattle Sounders Women this summer. The duo helped lead Seattle to the conference championship game and the top postseason spot in the Western Conference with a 10-1-1 overall record.
Lavelle and McNicoll were named to the 2015 W-League All-Western Conference Team. For Lavelle, it marked her second-consecutive season garnering all-conference accolades in the W-League.
In addition, Lavelle was also named to the 2015 All-League Team. The midfielder ranked 10th in the league for points with 18 in nine games during the season. The Cincinatti, Ohio, native also ranked eighth in assists with four.
McNicoll played as a defender for Seattle, helping goalkeeper Kathryn Scheele earn five wins in seven games played. Defensively, Seattle posted four shutouts on the season.
