College football’s most recognizable voice called one of Wisconsin’s most memorable wins
Â
MADISON, Wis. — When Gregg Bohlig hit Jeff Mack on a 77-yard touchdown pass that marked one of the Badgers' most memorable moments, it was the sport's most recognizable voice that defined the scene by saying "You're watching one of the great games in a great Wisconsin football history."
For many years, hearing Keith Jackson on the call was the easiest way to tell you were watching a big game. That was the case when the legendary play-by-play man came to Camp Randall Stadium to describe the action of what became a 21-20 victory for Wisconsin over fourth-ranked Nebraska on Sept. 21, 1974.
