MADISON, Wis. — When Melvin Gordon heard his place in the Big Ten running back pecking order being questioned, he filed the sound bite away to use as motivation on a later date.

Unfortunately for Nebraska, that date came on Nov. 15, 2014 – along with one of the most unforgettable performances in Camp Randall Stadium history.

Gordon finished with the performance of a lifetime, rushing for an NCAA-record 408 yards, but his shaky start nearly earned him a spot on the bench.

Read more about Gordon's recollection from that magical day in his Camp Randall 100 profile.
