Badgers set to play five spring games, including one against the Chicago Red Stars
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's soccer team will return to the fields for their 2020 spring season, starting on Sunday. The Badgers have five matchups slated where they will partake in three games on the road and two at home.
UW will kick off the season on Sunday in South Bend, Indiana where they will face a familiar opponent, Notre Dame. The game is set to start at 12 p.m.
A few weeks after their trip east, the Badgers will battle the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women's Soccer League in a matchup hosted by Forward Madison FC at Breese Stevens Field on March 25. The exhibition will begin at 7 p.m. This historic contest marks Wisconsin's first-ever exhibition game featuring a National Women's Soccer League team. The Chicago Red Stars drafted UW's defender Camryn Biegalski in the second round of the 2020 NWSL draft this January.
Wisconsin will host Loyola University on Saturday, April 4 at 2 p.m. in Madison before hitting the road to face in-state rival Milwaukee on Thursday, April 16 and Louisville on Saturday, April 18.
