Melcher, Gueths named All-American rowers

Duo helped Badgers to 14th place at 2021 NCAAs
MADISON, Wis. – Senior Charlotte Melcher and junior Brandi Gueths were named 2021 Pocock All-Americans by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).
Melcher, an Oak Park, Illinois, native, and Gueths, who hails from Shawano, earned second team and honorable mention honors, respectively.
First-team All-Big Ten, Melcher stroked UW's varsity eight for most of the season, helping it to fourth place at the Big Ten championships and 14th at the NCAA championships. She was also part of the Academic All-Big Ten team.
Gueths, who rowed as five seat in the varsity eight, was a second-team All-Big Ten honoree. She is also a 2021 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten rower.
