Wisconsin sits in fourth place in team scoring
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The 14th-ranked Wisconsin swimming and diving team started the first day of the 2024 Big Ten Championships with two program top-10 times on Wednesday night.
The 200 medley relay consisting of Mackenzie McConagha, Hailey Tierney, Hazal Ozkan and Abby Wanezek hit the wall in and NCAA "B" cut time of 1:36.58, to finish fourth overall. This time ties for eighth place in Wisconsin program history. 
The 800 free relay continued the momentum for the Badgers, earning a third-place finish with an NCAA "A" cut time of 6:58.05. Abby Carlson, Phoebe Bacon, Lily Gardner and Blair Stoneburg swam the third-fastest time in program history to finish off night one.
