Four Badgers advance to finals
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jan Lanser, Jaden Eikermann, Greta Kavanagh and Ryane Neal of the Wisconsin swim and dive teams reached the finals over the weekend at the Utah Diving Invite.
On the 1m, Ryane Neal finished with a score of 229.60 in the prelims to advance to the finals on Friday night. Neal placed fifth in the finals, with a score of 252.70. On the men's side on the 1m, Jan Lanser finished fifth in the prelims with a score of 284.93, while Jaden Eikermann was right behind him in sixth with a score of 275.03 to both advance to finals. Lanser finished fourth in finals with 304.80 points, and Eikermann finished seventh with 285.50 points.
On the 3m, Ryane Neal led the way for the Badgers with a sixth place finish with 252.98 points, as Greta Kavanagh finished right behind her in seventh with 248.10 points. Molly Hampton and Vivian Kinnard also competed in the 3m with scores of 241.50 and 205.13, respectively, In the finals, Ryane Neal improved her score to 277.90 for a seventh place finish, with Greta Kavanagh finishing in eighth with 242.15 points.
The Badgers finished off the weekend with the men's 3m, as Jaden Eikermann secured a second place finish in prelims with 359.80 points and Jan Lanser taking sixth with 312.20 points. In the finals, Eikermann finished fourth, with a score of 312.85, while Lanser finished seventh with a score of 292.90.
The Badgers will be back in action this Saturday for Senior Day vs Northwestern. The meet will begin at 12 p.m. CST.
