Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Wisconsin men's tennis team took on top-ranked Ohio State in Columbus on Friday night, falling 4-0. The Buckeyes controlled the match from the start, taking the doubles point and victories at No. 2, No. 3, and No. 6 to seal the win over the Badgers. Â
Ohio State jumped to an early match lead, claiming the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 slots.
The Buckeyes continued to defend their No. 3 national team ranking by sealing the match with straight set victories at No. 2, No. 3, and No. 6 singles. At No. 1, Michael Minasyan faced his fourth top 20 ranked opponent this season in a contest against Ohio State's Aidan Kim.Â
Freshman Edouard Aubert won his first set at No. 5 singles against Ohio State's Preston Stearns. Matthew Fullerton was getting into a groove at No. 4 singles before Ohio State secured the match win.
Wisconsin is now 1-4 in Big Ten play and 7-6 overall.Â
