2021: Started in all seven contests she appeared in for UW totaling 496 minutes. She scored two goals, including the game winner, and one assist against Kansas City. She posted two goals and two assists on the season and 21 shots, eight of which were on goal. Rice was named to the Big Ten’s All-Academic Team in fall 2021.
2021 spring: Missed the first half of the season due to injury, but bounced back in a big role for the Badgers. Appeared in seven games with six starts with 536 total minutes played. Helped Wisconsin advance to the Big ten tournament with a goal in a penalty shootout against Northwestern (4/11). She recorded her lone goal in the Big Ten Tournament semifinal against No. 22 Rutgers and had an assist on the game winning goal to send UW to its first championship game since 2014. Finished the year with two assists. Finished third on the team with 14 shots.
2019: Started and appeared in all 22 games for Wisconsin as a key member of Wilkins’ midfield. Logged two goals and five assists for a total of nine points. Her two goals ranked third on the team for most goals and total points. Had the most assists on the team. Scored her solo game-winner against Marquette. Logged 51 shots, the second most shots on the team, for a 0.039 shot percentage and recorded 20 shots on goal for a 0.392 shots on goal percentage.
2018: Built on a successful freshman campaign with an even more impressive sophomore season...started 21 of 22 games...logged seven goals, three in Big Ten competition, four of the seven were game winners including on the road versus Indiana (10/5) and on the road against Minnesota (10/13)...had two assists for a total of 16 points...got off 52 shots, the second most on the team with a .135 shot percentage and 19 shots on goal, the third most on the team for a .462 SOG percentage.
2017: Started all 22 games for Wisconsin. Ended the season second in shots on the team. Scored 13 points on five goals and three assists. Had one gamewinner and put 23 shots on goal. Her first career goal came at William & Mary (9/3). She scored her second career goal in that game also. Had four multi-point games in 2017. Rice's gamewinner came against Michigan State (9/21).
Prep: Ranked 76 in the 150 ranked by IMG Academy … invited to the U18 WNT Training Camp in Chula Vista, California, the 2016 High School All-American game and the 2014/2016 ECNL PDP … four-year varsity starter for Guerin Catholic, accumulating 58 total goals and 32 assists … two-time captain and two-time varsity MVP … led her team to become sectional champions and regional runner-ups … named to the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association All-State first-team … named to the ISCA All-State second team and ICGSA All-State first team as a junior … ICGSA All-State second team as a freshman … invited to the 2017 ECNL PDP … earned A Honor Roll all four years, earning ISCA Academic All-State in 2015 and 2016 … also a member of the National Honor Society.

A forward, Lauren is a natural goal scorer having scored 58 goals throughout her high school (Guerin Catholic, Noblesville, IN) career. This past September Lauren participated in a U-18 USA Women's National Team training camp in Chula Vista, CA.
