After heading to the Rose Bowl to have their team photo taken, the Badgers used their final day of preparation for the Rose Bowl to hold one last practice session, with the team performing its normal Friday walk-through at the historic Los Angeles Colesium.
Badgers fans, meanwhile, flooded the area between the Staples Center and the team hotel for the UW Marching Band's 5th Quarter at L.A. Live. The sea of red that invaded downtown was treated to the Badger Band's favorites, but also a couple of big surprises.
Singer will.i.am of The Black Eyed Peas used the band to back a performance of his yet-to-be-released solo track "Great Times," while Everlast -- former front man of House of Pain -- teamed up with the band for a special live performance of "Jump Around."

Wisconsin returned to the practice field Saturday afternoon for a full session at The Home Depot Center, but the highlight of the day actually came following practice.
For the second-consecutive year, thousands of Badgers fans descended on the famous Santa Monica Pier to get set for Monday's Rose Bowl Game.
The sea of red, which was partially obscured by heavy fog rolling in off the Pacific Ocean, enjoyed performances by the UW Marching Band and spirit squad, as well as appearances by former Badgers Mark Tauscher and Ron Dayne -- who also was inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame on Saturday.
The crowd was also treated to videos highlighting the Badgers' season and an appearance by the team itself, complete with remarks from the captains and a rendition of "Varsity."

The Badgers' day began early Friday with Rose Bowl Media Day at the Marriott Los Angeles Downtown, where the team's entire roster of players and coaches were made available to the assembled media.
One of the highlights of the event was the public debut of the Badgers' special edition uniforms for the Rose Bowl Game, which were unveiled by adidas.
A number of players also visited children at a Los Angeles area children's hospital Friday afternoon.

Thursday brought with it one of the great traditions that surrounds the Tournament of Roses, and the Badgers took full advantage. Wisconsin outpaced Rose Bowl foe Oregon by consuming 723 pounds of prime rib at the 56th Lawry's Beef Bowl, compared to the 612 pounds the Ducks put down on Wednesday.
OL Travis Frederick was again the MVP of the event, this time plowing through eight servings of the signature dish at Lawry's The Prime Rib in Beverly Hills. Frederick had seven servings last year.
The Badgers worked up their appetite with an afternoon practice at The Home Depot Center, where temperatures again hit the mid to upper 70s.

For the first time since hitting the ground in L.A., the Badgers donned full pads for their practice session Wednesday afternoon at The Home Depot Center. UWBadgers.com caught up with WR Jared Abbrederis and OL Travis Frederick after practice.
Prior to practice, offensive coordinator Paul Chryst and five members of the Badgers' offensive unit headed to the Rose Bowl's media hotel for a morning press conference.

Wisconsin spent the morning getting down to business, conducting its first on-site practice in preparation for the Rose Bowl. The Badgers took part in a crisp, 12-period session at their practice home for the week, The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
From there, it was straight to Disneyland, where the Badgers took part in the official kickoff of Rose Bowl week. The welcome event included media availability for head coach Bret Bielema and five players at Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

In the spirit of the holidays, enjoy the story of young Nelson Happel, a Madison native and cancer patient who was introduced to members of the Wisconsin football team during the Badgers' visits to American Family Children's Hospital.
Earlier this season, Nelson returned the favor by visiting the Badgers at practice, taking in a tour of Camp Randall Stadium, meeting head coach Bret Bielema and receiving a special gift from his favorite player, WR Jared Abbrederis.

The countdown to departure for Los Angeles sits at just three days as the Badgers return to the practice field for an afternoon session on Friday. While the team looks ahead, we look back on a fantastic season that has included some memorable moments.
Included on that list has to be the Badgers' 48-17 win over Nebraska on Oct. 1, a game that serves as the backdrop for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at game day in and around Camp Randall Stadium.

Also, Badgers center Peter Konz met Thursday with a specialist in North Carolina for a second opinion on the ankle he dislocated on Nov. 12 vs. Minnesota. Konz has been limited in practice but hopes to play in the Rose Bowl. Mike Lucas discussed the matter with Konz, who also was busy with the "Diseases in Wildlife" final exam he took on Wednesday.
