An extra benefit is any special arrangement made by an institutional employee or representative of our athletics interest (booster), to provide you and/or your relatives or friends with a benefit not expressly authorized by the NCAA and not generally available to the student body. Some examples of extra-benefits that are not permissible per NCAA rules include:
- Gift of clothing or equipment
- Cash or any type of gifts
- Loans or cosigning of loans
- Vehicle or the use of a vehicle
- Payment for or arrangement of transportation costs
- Concert or sporting event tickets
- Free or reduced cost housing or parking
- Free or reduced cost services (haircuts, massages, tattoos, etc.)
- Free or reduced cost training or conditioning services (outside sport trainers, fitness consultants, etc. – must pay the going rate for such services)
