Why are Wisconsin sports streamed on Peacock?
Wisconsin football, men's basketball and women's basketball will all be featured on Peacock as part of the Big Ten's new media rights agreement. Most of the Big Ten's new broadcast parameters, including Peacock-exclusive streams, derive from the conference's landmark media rights deal finalized in August 2022.Â
Wisconsin's first appearance on Peacock will take place in the Badger football's matchup with Rutgers on Saturday, Oct. 7. There is a possibility of additional football games being aired on Peacock this fall and UW anticipates having men's and women's basketball games on the streaming platform later this season.
Sporting events across the Big Ten conference will be exclusively streamed on Peacock throughout the 2023-24 athletic seasons. Peacock exclusive games have already included No 10 Washington vs. Michigan State, No. 2 Michigan vs. East Carolina and No. 7 Penn State vs. Delaware.
