2026 Big Ten Championships

The University of Wisconsin will host a trio of meets at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course during the 2026 season after hosting the NCAA Cross Country Championships in 2024.
Wisconsin's first home meet will be the 2026 Badger Classic on Friday, Sept. 4. UW will host the 2026 Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational Presented by Under Armour on Friday, Oct. 9 before hosting the Big Ten Championships for the second time in the last four seasons on Friday, Oct. 30.
2026 Badger Classic
Wisconsin will host the Badger Classic on Friday, Sept. 4. The women will compete in a 6K race at 10 a.m. while the men will race an 8K at 10:45 a.m.
A limited number of open, club and unattached entries will be accepted to enhance the the field for the Badger Classic. Interested individuals must email Aaron Watson (aaw@athletics.wisc.edu) to request entry by Tuesday, September 1. Please include your name, event, affiliation and link to recent results indicating fitness from 2025 or 2026. Approved athletes will be sent an email with further entry instructions.
2026 Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational Presented by Under Armour
For over 15 years, the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational Presented by Under Armour has established itself as one of the nation's premier collegiate meets. This year's event is set for Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, one week earlier than the traditional date.
This year's Nuttycombe meet will consist of two races per gender. The women's “A” race will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the men's “A” race to follow at 11:10 a.m. The women's “B” race will kick off at 11:50 a.m. while the men's “B” race will wrap up the meet at 12:30 p.m. Please note the start time is 30 minutes earlier than prior years.

For the second time in four years, UW will host the Big Ten Cross Country Championships at the Zimmer Championship Course. This year's meet will take place on Friday, Oct. 30. The women's 6K Race will begin at 10:45 a.m. with the men's 8K to start at 11:45 a.m.
