2023-24: Skated in 39 games for Wisconsin … tied her career best with 19 points on one goal and 18 assists … tallied two assists in the season opener against Lindenwood on Sept. 28 … recorded her first goal of the season against Boston College on Oct. 5 … enjoyed a three-point weekend against Minnesota Feb. 16-17 … posted a team-high 56 blocks, with eight tallied in the NCAA Frozen Four games
2022-23: Saw the ice in 40 games for the National Championship team … recorded 10 assists, including a season-high two against Penn State on Sept. 23 … tallied 52 blocks with six in the 6-5 win against Ohio State on Feb. 18 … finished with a +23 plus-minus rating
2021-22: Appeared in all 38 games for the Cardinal and White ... posted a career high 19 assists from the blue line was +33 ... enjoyed three multi-point games against Bemidji State (Nov. 7 2021, Dec. 10 2021 and Feb. 26, 2022) ... was UW's Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree ... collected WCHA All-Academic honors
2020-21: Saw the ice in all 21 games with the National Championship team... scored six points with six assists, including an assist on the game-winning goal against Minnesota in the WCHA Final Faceoff... recorded 47 blocks including seven in the shutout again Minnesota on Jan. 15, four against Ohio State in the Frozen Four and four against Northeastern in the National Championship game... earned WCHA All-Academic
2019-20: Despite a playoff schedule that ended early before the Badgers’ 2020 NCAA quarterfinal game against Clarkson, Edwards played in 35 games this season helping UW to a WCHA regular season title … recorded one goal and two assists for a three-point season … sniped her first career goal, a power-play goal that helped UW set a program record of 35.2 power-play goals, from the blue-line in UW’s 10-2 win over LIU (Oct. 18)
Prep: From Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Edwards is a six-year player on the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite team and long-time participant of USA development camps, while also competing for her high school, Shady Side Academy. A three-time first-team All-WIHLMA conference player, Edwards helped Shady Side win the WIHLMA championship her freshman and sophomore seasons. Through her first three high school seasons, Edwards totaled 71 points (38 goals, 33 assists) as a defenseman, and she received national recognition on USA Today’s 2017-18 American Family Insurance All-USA Preseason Girls Hockey Team.
Personal: Daughter of Charone and Robert Edwards… has two sisters, Britney and Laila, and two brothers, Bobby and Colson… four-year honor and merit roll student… enjoys reading, dancing, creative writing, and eating Thai food… was a member of her school’s Diversity Leadership Club, Gender Sexuality Alliance and Black Student Union… intends to major in psychology at UW-Madison
