Michele Dalton enters her second season as an assistant coach with the Wisconsin women’s soccer program. Dalton joined the Badgers’ staff in June 2025, returning to Madison as a former Wisconsin standout and bringing extensive coaching and professional playing experience to the program.
In her first season with Wisconsin in 2025, Dalton helped guide the Badgers to a 14-6-2 overall record and a 6-3-2 mark in Big Ten play. Wisconsin advanced to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals and earned an NCAA Tournament berth, defeating Western Michigan in the opening round before falling to Baylor in the second round. Dalton worked closely with Wisconsin’s goalkeepers and defensive unit, helping senior goalkeeper Drew Stover earn Third Team All-Big Ten honors after recording 10 shutouts.
Dalton arrived in Madison following a successful 2024 season at Utah State, where she helped lead the Aggies to 18 wins, a conference championship and the program’s first NCAA Tournament home match. She played an integral role in the development of goalkeeper Cora Brendle, who was named Mountain West Newcomer of the Year, and defender Kaitlyn Richins, who became the program’s first All-American.
Prior to Utah State, Dalton spent time coaching at Kentucky, Western Kentucky and DePaul, where she worked with goalkeepers and defensive units while contributing to recruiting and player development.
A four-year letterwinner for Wisconsin from 2007-11, Dalton was named Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year in 201
