How old were you when you started swimming or diving? 8.
Most memorable swim or dive meet? My most memorable meet was in Orlando at NCSAs. I swam the 200 fly at finals and my teammates were at the end of my lane cheering for me and the turn at the last 75 they seemed to be going nuts so I just kept going and it was the first time I went under 2 minutes. The race just encapsulates that meet for me.
Best part of swimming or diving? The best part of swimming is when you go a time you had no idea you could go. That’s the best feeling to be so shocked at what you’re capable of.
What is your favorite thing about Madison? I love the Saturday market in the square and I love both the lakes. The capital and campus are gorgeous.
Before each meet, I: Have my parents send me a picture of my cats.
One word that describes the team: Supportive.
One word that describes me: Resilient.
Favorite thing to do out of the pool with my teammates: I enjoy going to the market or going to get coffee or things like that.
The best thing about Soderholm is: It’s indoors and temperature regulated (I swam in Florida where the pool was 89°).
Dream as a collegiate athlete: My dream as a collegiate athlete is to become a better athlete while making as many memories as I can.
Post-college plans/goals: I plan to go PT school to become a physical therapist.
What is your favorite coach saying? "Don’t worry about the clock, just go and do what you know how to do and the rest will take care of itself."
