2020-21: Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient...raced in home triangular meet against Minnesota and Purdue (1/23) and placed 10th in 200 butterfly (2:03.80) and 12th in 100 butterfly (56.80)...placed fifth as a member of the 400 Medley Relay B team (3:43.63) and 10th in the 200 butterfly (2:04.79) in a meet against Illinois and Northwestern (2/6)...swam in the Big Ten Championships (2/25-2/26) and raced in the 200 butterfly placing 41st (2:03.80) and the 100 butterfly placing 53rd (56.65)

2019-20: Placed second in the 100 fly (57.72) and fourth in the 200 fly (2:07.06) vs. Green Bay (Oct. 4)... finished eighth in both the 100 fly (57.90) and the 200 LC IM (2:31.91) while also being part of the sixth-place 400 medley (3:50.64, 57.68 leg) at Virginia (Oct. 25)... finished fifth in the 200 fly (2:05.52) and eighth in the 400 IM (4:33.72) at Minnesota (Nov. 8)... placed 22nd in the 200 IM (2:02.46) and 26th in the 100 fly (56.42), setting a new personal best for the 50 fly (25.93) at the NC State Invitational (Nov. 21-23)... placed 10th in both the 200 IM (2:13.32) and 100 fly (1:01.51) at Hawaii (Jan. 9)... finished fifth in the 200 fly (2:06.96) and seventh in the 100 fly (58.80) vs. Northwestern (Jan. 25)... finished second in the 200 fly (2:07.21) in the Badger Red/White Meet (Feb. 1)

2018-19: Touched 35th overall in both the 200 fly (2:03.84) and 400 IM (4:24.71), and also placed 43rd overall (2:04.10) in the 200 IM at the Big Ten championships …  finished third in the 200 fly (2:08.73) vs. Green Bay … qualified for 200 IM finals, finishing 22nd overall (2:03.20), 400 IM finals, placing 17th overall (4:23.78) and 100 fly finals, touching 27th overall (57.74) at the Texas Hall of Fame Invitational … was the Badgers’ fourth-place finisher in the 400 IM (4:34.02) vs. Hawaii

2017-18: Raced to a 56.53 finish in the 100 fly (53rd-place) and a 2:05.30 time in the 200 IM (64th) at the Big Ten Championships ... finished sixth in the 200 IM (2:09.49) at USC ... claimed the 24th-place spot in the 200 IM (2:05.07) and participated in the 19th-place 400 free relay squad (3:27.73) at the Texas Invite ... took part in the third-place 200 free relay squad (1:37.76) vs. Northwestern ... finished second in the 100 free (52,87) at UW-Green Bay ... made Badgers debut vs. Georgia, taking part in the sixth-place 400-yard freestyle relay squad (3:37.51)

Prep: First-ranked recruit out of Arizona … four-time high school state champion … three-peat high school champion in the 200 IM … state champion in the 100 free as a junior ... holds 5 school records at Arcadia … competing with the Phoenix Swim Club, placed in the top four in the 50 free (fourth place) and the 200 fly (second) at the 2017 Speedo Champions Series

Personal: Parents are Becky and Tom Carlson … has one sister, Sydney … intended major is marketing

Why Wisconsin: "I chose UW because of the top tier education that I will receive. It is a prestigious state school that will give me the opportunity to be successful in the real world. Aside from the education, Wisconsin will give me a college atmosphere unlike anywhere else. But most importantly, UW is my home away from home. The swim team made me feel so comfortable and I immediately felt like a part of the Badger family. On, Wisconsin!"
