Dan Rohrer was hired in July 2024 as Wisconsin’s Associate Athletic Director for Governance & Regulatory Affairs. He provides leadership to the Compliance office, supports efforts in Athlete Administration, and assists coaches, staff, and student-athletes in navigating departmental policy and procedure. Dan serves as a liaison to a variety of university partners to support alignment and success across initiatives.
Previously, Dan led the Academics & Career unit as the Assistant Athletic Director for five years. He was responsible for developing, implementing, overseeing and evaluating the overall academic and career services offered to the approximately 700 UW student-athletes.
Dan also spent seven years in various roles in the Compliance office with UW Athletics, as well as serving as the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at Southern Illinois and the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at UW-Green Bay.
A proud alum, Dan is a 2003 graduate of the University of Wisconsin and a 2006 graduate of Marquette University Law School. Dan and his wife Amy live in Middleton with their two sons, Sam and Alex.
