Erin McMillan joined Wisconsin Athletics as Associate Athletic Director in August of 2024. She leads overall brand marketing, content creation and media strategy, bringing her extensive experience in consumer-focused brand management to the collegiate sports world.
Erin earned her BBA from UW-Madison, then spent her early career at Target before returning to the Wisconsin School of Business for her MBA in Brand and Product Management. She spent the next 5 years at Procter & Gamble becoming a successful brand-builder where she leveraged her love of the consumer in the crowded cosmetics category to launch category growing innovation and marketing-winning products. Erin then transferred her brand building skills from cosmetics to food, working for Kraft Heinz. Most recently Erin spent 8 years working for Mattel on American Girl, a beloved toy brand, helping girls to recognize themselves and their limitless potential through dolls and stories.
Erin is married to Alan McMillan, a fellow Badger. Together they live in Madison, Wisconsin with their three children and dog, Lily.
