Evan Johnston joined the Wisconsin women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach in October 2025 under head coach Robin Pingeton.

Johnston arrives in Madison after three seasons at Arkansas, where he served as the Razorbacks’ video coordinator, overseeing all scouting and video operations while contributing to player development, recruiting, and strategic analysis. He also spent the 2022–23 season as a graduate assistant at Missouri, working directly under Pingeton.

A native of Arkansas, Johnston began his career as a student manager and practice player for the Razorbacks from 2018–22. His experience includes supporting the development of multiple All-Americans, All-Conference honorees, and SEC All-Freshman Team selections.

During his time in the SEC, Johnston worked with standout players such as Chelsea Dungee, Destiny Slocum, Amber Ramirez, and Hayley Frank, among others.
