Repa Garners Player of the Week Honors
October 02, 2001 | Men's Soccer
UW senior co-captain Scott Repa was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Badgers' 2-2 tie against Marquette last Wednesday.
Repa, the Badgers' sweeper, played all 120 minutes of the 2-2 tie and tallied his third assist of the season, setting up Wisconsin's first goal of the game with a well-placed free kick to fellow senior Aaron Lauber. One of just five players to start all eight games this season, Repa's three assists lead the team and he ranks third in both points (3) and shots (8).
The Badgers (6-1-1 overall) host Illinois-Chicago for a 7 p.m. contest on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the McClimon Soccer Complex.
