McClimon Soccer Complex
Sitting on the shores of Lake Mendota in the Medical District at the University of Wisconsin, the Dan McClimon Memorial Track/Soccer Complex and state-of-the-art training facility located just to the west allow student-athletes to train and play on a beautiful natural grass surface.
The field maintenance staff who oversees University Ridge Golf Course, as well as the training facility at U-Bay and McClimon Complex, follows a strict maintenance program to keep the field in pristine condition. The surfaces of both the training facility are cut at a length of 3/4 inch to promote excellent quality of play for all soccer players. Prior to the start of the 2013 season, significant upgrades at both the training facility (installation of irrigation system) and new natural grass turf at McClimon were completed.

Stadium upgrades include semi-permanent bleachers along the east side of the field, allowing fans to get close to all the action. World Cup style signage surrounding the field allows players and spectators alike to enjoy match day at McClimon. General bleacher seating is available with capacity of more than 2,000 fans. The 2013 season saw some exciting soccer, culminating with the return of the Badgers men's team to the NCAA tournament for the first time in 18 years. For fan ease of access, a large parking area is available just north of the complex with free parking on weekends and after working hours on weekdays.
The McClimon Complex is also one of the nation's toughest venues for visitors, as of late. The Badger men's team entered the 2014 season with a 14-match unbeaten streak.

McClain Center
The Dave McClain Athletic Facility serves as the year-round home for a number of University of Wisconsin teams, including men's and women's soccer. The facility, renovated in 2013, offers a climate-controlled indoor training space, locker rooms, sports medicine center and strength and conditioning facilities.
Opened in 1988 at a cost of $9.5 million, the McClain Center has undergone an extensive renovation as part of the $86 million Student-Athlete Performance Center project undertaken by UW Athletics to provide first-class facilities for the Badgers.
The centerpiece of the McClain Center is a 76,000-square foot main floor that features a 90-yard practice field utilized by a variety of UW athletic programs. The practice area was re-surfaced in 2013 with the installation of the most advanced playing surface offered by FieldTurf.
The most dramatic transformation took place below the main floor, as the McClain Center's lower level was completely rebuilt to better serve the needs of today's student-athletes.
The modernized lower level is primarily comprised of locker rooms, including newly expanded team suites for the UW soccer programs. In addition to the locker room area, each soccer program also has its own team lounge and access to large team meeting rooms.
The expansive and modern Mueller Sports Medicine Center serves as the primary athletic training facility for all UW sports. The center features a clinical area with offices for three physicians, a consultation room and an on-site X-ray facility in addition to its extensive treatment and rehabilitation area. The space also includes a Hydroworx rehab pool and multiple whirlpools.
The new strength and conditioning center is a 6,000-square foot space that offers a full range of strength training equipment, in addition to a dedicated cardio area and a performance station featuring fresh fruit and nutritional drinks for use in recovery after workouts.
The renovated weight room located adjacent to the McClain Center in Camp Randall Stadium is a 17,000-square foot space that can accommodate as much as the entire UW football 120-man roster for simultaneous workouts. In addition to the latest in weight training equipment custom-built for the Badgers, the strength and conditioning center features a dedicated cardio and warm-up area.
Located within the Camp Randall strength and conditioning center is the expansive Performance Nutrition area that offers fresh fruit, power drinks and a station for making recovery shakes.
