The Wisconsin men's soccer team fell to 0-3 in Big Ten action today with a 2-1 loss at Michigan. UW freshman David Martinez scored the UW's only goal in the 85th minute, cleaning up a rebound from a shot by Leron Gabriel.
The Badgers (7-6-1 overall, 0-3-0 Big Ten) fell behind 1-0 in the 17th minute when Michigan sophomore Mike White headed in a tip off a corner kick. The Wolverines got an insurance goal in the 36th minute on a goal by freshman midfielder Knox Cameron who converted his third goal of the season off a pass from Mychal Turpin.
Wisconsin goalkeeper Moriba Atiba Baker recorded six saves in the contest while UM's Bryan Lau had four stops to help the Wolverines improve to 8-4-1, 2-3-0 in the conference.
The Badgers visit Northern Illinois for a 3 p.m. contest on Friday before hosting Michigan State at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
