Badger Men Golfers Complete Fall Season

The Badger men's golf team withstood weather delays in the first round of the 36-hole Tillinghast Tournament to complete its fall season placing eighth among 24 teams at the tournament hosted by St. John's University at the Quaker Club in Scarsdale, NY.
Illinois had two golfers tie for medalist honors with two-under-par 138 to win the invitational with a 17-over par 577 on the par 70 course. Minnesota was second at 580. Wisconsin shot a 299-303-602 under soggy conditions. The first round was delayed by weather and darkness, and completed the second day.
Jeoff Lound and James Lepp of Illinois tied for first with 138. Dylan Esterling led UW for the first time this season placing seventh with a three-over par 71-72 '143. Kevin Tassistro was three strokes back alone in 14th with 73-73 '146.
UW's Michael Baldwin tied for 60th with a 155. Wisconsin 's stroke leader all fall, Jon Turcott, tied for 75th with 158, and Brian Brodell completed UW scoring at 108 with a 166.
