Badger Men 11th at Grizzly Tournament in Ohio

Ohio University senior Erik Herberth tied the 18-hole record with a 64 in the second round of the Xavier Provident Invitational while setting a 36-hole record with an 11-under 131. Western Kentucky took over the team lead during Monday's afternoon's round at The Golf Center at Kings Island.
Xavier, the first round leader, slipped to fourth at 1-under 567. Marshall stands two strokes behind in second, and Ohio University is third at 566. The host Xavier and Ball State are tied for fourth at 567.
The Badgers are in 11th place among the 16 teams competing with a 12-over par 292-288'580. Kevin Tassistro leads the Badgers with a two-over par 72-72'144, good for a tie for 26th.
Dylan Esterling is tied for 42nd with a 74-72'146; Michael Baldwin and Joel Rechlicz are tied at 54th with identical 75-72'147. Jon Turcott is 63rd with a 71-77'148.
The final 18-holes will be played Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m.
