Lyman, Kernan Earn Weekly Big Ten Honors

The Big Ten Conference named senior Siobhan Kernan co-Diver of the Week and junior Jenny Lyman co-Swimmer of the Week on Nov. 13. Kernan and Lyman were honored for their efforts in the Badgers' 181-118 over Northwestern Nov. 8.
Lyman (Englewood, Colo.) finished first in every event she competed in against Northwestern. Lyman took first in the 50 and 100 free (23.77, 51.75). She picked up two more wins as a member of both relay teams. The leadoff swimmer in the 200 free relay (1:34.59) and the anchor in the 400 medley relay (3:47.64), Lyman helped the Badgers to UW Natatorium pool records in those events.
Kernan (Westmont, N.J.) set pool records in both diving events against Northwestern. Kernan tied for first on the one-meter board with a 293.03 and won on the three-meter board with a 297.98. It is Kernan's second consecutive Diver of the Week honor. Kernan was honored on Nov. 6 for her efforts against Arizona and Arizona State.
