Lucas Hired as Assistant SID

Brian Lucas, a member of the Wisconsin sports information staff since 1999, has been named an assistant sports information director at the UW-Madison.
Lucas, a 1998 graduate of Notre Dame, worked in the Irish sports information department as an undergraduate student before accepting an internship at Marquette for the 1998-99 academic year. Lucas, a native of Oceanside, N.Y., was hired as a sports information assistant at Wisconsin during the summer of 1999 and has remained with the UW SID office since then.
During his time at Wisconsin, Lucas has assisted with all aspects of the sports information operation, including serving as the department's primary publicity contact for the 2001-02 men's basketball team that won a share of the Big Ten title.
