Men's Swimmers Take Lead Over Iowa After Day One

The Wisconsin men's swimming and diving team leads Iowa, 123-62, after winning Friday's nine events to start a two-day meet in Iowa City, Iowa. The Badgers (2-0) are opening up Big Ten action this weekend, while Iowa is competing for the first time this year.
Freshman James Wike, fresh off two wins versus Toledo Thursday night in Madison, captured two more wins Friday night. Wike touched first in the 100-yard backstroke (:49.59) and the 200 IM (1:51.05). Wike also contributed in the Badgers ' 200 medley relay win.
The Badgers and Hawkeyes conclude the meet tomorrow at 11 a.m.
