Relay Leads Women's Swimmers At Arizona

Tucson, Ariz. ' The No. 18 Wisconsin women's swimming and diving team competed in a four-team exhibition Friday versus No. 9 Arizona, No. 11 Arizona State and the Mexican National team.
'[Friday's] events were highlighted by our 800 free relay,' coach Eric Hansen said.
Sophomore Carly Piper led off the first place 800 free relay, which finished in 7:28.26 over an Arizona squad that touched at 7:35.62. Sarah McCauley, Bethany Pendleton and Anna Trinidad rounded out the relay team. The Badgers' second-highest finisher was Emily Pisula, who took third in the 400 IM.
'We look to carry the momentum into tomorrow,' Hansen said. 'In meets like these, we swim better on the second day.'
On the three-meter board, K.C. Bunnell was the highest finisher for the Badgers. Bunnell took fifth with 213.45 points.
The Badgers close competition in Arizona tomorrow with events starting at 1 p.m. Tomorrow's events will be scored.
