Swimmers Climb One Spot in Rankings

The Wisconsin men's and women's swimming and diving teams moved up one spot in the College Swim Coaches Association of America dual meet poll last week. The women 's team is the top-ranked Big Ten program at No. 12, while the men's team sits at No. 13.
In the last poll, the women's team was No. 13 and the men were ranked 14th. Both Badger swimming teams opened the year at No. 18 in the CSCAA poll and are currently 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Big Ten.
Wisconsin travels to Austin, Texas this weekend to compete in the prestigious Texas Invitational. In one of the biggest meets of the year, the Badgers look to attain several NCAA qualifying times at the Texas Invite. The action begins Dec. 5 and runs through Dec. 7. Prelims start at 10 a.m. and finals begin at 6 p.m. each day.
