December 05, 2002 | Women's Soccer
Wisconsin women's soccer junior forward Jenny Kundert was named to the NSCAA/adidas Great Lakes All-Region second team this week. Kundert led the Badgers in goals, assists and points in 2002.
It is Kundert's second all-region selection, having earned first-team honors her freshman year. It is the Badgers' first such honor since Kundert and Allison Wagner were named to the first-team in 2000.
In 2002, Kundert led UW with 8 goals, 15 assists and 31 points. The Madison-native was a twice-named tournament MVP during the 2002 season, earning Rocky Rococo and Cyclone Classic MVP honors. Kundert also tallied three multi-goal games, scoring two goals versus Northwestern, Michigan State and Iowa State.
Part of a front line including Amy Vermeulen and Jessica Wolff, Kundert tallied two assists in the Big Ten tournament, helping the Badgers to a second place finish. The Badgers closed their season in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
