Badger Men Start Kepler Intercollegiate in 14th

The Wisconsin men's golf team opened play at the Kepler Intercollegiate in 14th place after opening with a 308 at the par-71, 7,231-yard Ohio State University Scarlet Course.
Junior Jon Turcott was the low Badger with a 4-over-par 75 to sit tied for 30th, seven shots behind leader Scott Miller of Ohio State who fired a 3-under-par 68.
UNLV is atop the team standings after posting a 288, just one shot ahead of second-place Northwestern. Purdue is in third with a 293.
Freshman Dylan Esterling is in a pack of players tied for 50th after shooting a 77. Junior Joel Rechlicz and freshman Kevin Tassistro each posted 78s to sit tied for 61st. Senior Eric Reno capped the scoring with a 79 and is tied for 66th.
Freshman Michael Baldwin is tied for 84th after shooting an 81 as an individual.
The Kepler Intercollegiate continues tomorrow with 18 holes, with the final round set for Sunday.
