Men's Golf in Eighth at Marshall Invite

The Wisconsin men's golf team opened the Marshall Invitational Friday in a tie for eighth place with Xavier in Huntington, W.Va. The Badgers fired a 298 and 299 through the first two rounds of play to tally a 597. Toledo leads the 20-team field with a 585.
Junior Jon Turcott leads the Badgers on the par-71 course with a 72-74-146. Turcott's 146 is good for eighth behind the leader, Ball State 's Kenny Cook, who carded a 141. Freshman Dylan Esterling also cracked the top-15 for the Badgers, firing a 14th-place score of 147.
The third and final round of the Marshall Invite is scheduled to start at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
