Piper, McCauley Add Qualifying Times

Wisconsin women's swimmers Carly Piper and Sarah McCauley picked up more nationals qualifying times Saturday at the Janet Evans Invitational in Los Angeles. Piper and McCauley qualified for nationals in the 200 meter freestyle. At the Janet Evans Invite this weekend, Piper and McCauley each have swam three nationals qualifying times.
Piper picked up her qualifying time in prelims (2:04.56) and finished eighth (2:05.05) in the event in the night's finals. Sarah McCauley, swimming in the consolation final, took 10th, touching the pad at 2:04.57. McCauley added a 19th place finish (26.98) in the bonus finals of the 50 free.
Emily Pisula, Jenny Lyman and Betsy Hassebroek also competed in event finals on Saturday. In the 50 free, Lyman took 16th (27.25) in the consolation final, while Hassebroek finished 23rd (27.17). Pisula finished 15th (5:06.56) in the 400 IM and 24th (2:44.41) in the 200 breaststroke.
