Volleyball Ranked 22nd in USA Today/AVCA Poll

The Wisconsin volleyball team fell two spots to 22nd in the USA Today/American Volleyball Coaches Association poll released Nov. 3.
Defending NCAA champion USC (22-0) remains atop the coaches poll for the 11th straight week and continues to receive all 65 first-place votes. The top three teams remain the same with Hawai'i (24-1) and Florida (24-1) second and third, respectively. Pepperdine (19-2) moves up one spot to fourth while Kansas State (22-3) moves up two spots to fifth.
The Big Ten Conference has three teams in the top 25. Penn State (20-4) moves up one spot to 16th while Minnesota (17-7) jumps up three spots to 20th. The Badgers fall two to 22nd while Michigan State (15-7) and Illinois (17-5) receive points.
The Badgers return home for two Big Ten matches in the UW Field House this weekend. Wisconsin is tied for second place in league with Penn State. Minnesota leads the conference at 10-2.
The Badgers take on fourth-place Michigan (16-7, 8-4) on Friday at 7 p.m. On Saturday, Wisconsin faces off against sixth-place Michigan State (15-7, 7-5) at 7 p.m. The Wolverines host the Spartans on Wednesday before both teams come to Madison.
