Times Set for NCAA Volleyball

Wisconsin travels to College Station, Texas, on Friday and Saturday for first and second-round matches of the 2003 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship.
The Badgers (21-10) take on 21st-ranked Arizona (17-14) in first-round action on Friday at 5 p.m. Host institution Texas A&M (21-9), which earned the No. 16 seed in the tournament field, will take on Nicholls State (18-14) in the other first-round match at 7 p.m. The two first-round winners will play each other in the second round on Saturday at 7 p.m. All matches will take place in the G. Rollie White Coliseum.
The Badgers are making their eighth consecutive and 12th overall appearance in the NCAA tournament. Wisconsin is 19-11 in the tournament with its best finish coming in 2000, when it was the national runnerup. In 2002, the Badgers defeated Alabama A&M, 3-0, in the first round before losing to Miami (Fla.), 1-3, in the second round at home.
Wisconsin is also competing on the road in first-round action for the first time since 1999, Coach Pete Waite's first year. That season, the Badgers travelled to Provo, Utah, where they downed Arizona State, 3-0, in the first round before losing to BYU, 1-3, in the second round.
