With just days left in 2003, Wisconsin's basketball teams close out the year on the road Tuesday night, while the football team plays in the 2003 Music City Bowl Wednesday. The Badger men's team returns home Saturday to open up 2004 against the College of Charleston at the Kohl Center.
The UW women's basketball, men's hockey, wrestling teams and men's and women's swimming and diving teams compete on the road this weekend.

FOOTBALL
' Already practicing in Nashville, Tenn., Wisconsin (7-5 overall, 4-4 Big Ten) plays Auburn (7-5) on New Year's Eve in the 2003 Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl Presented By Bridgestone at 11 a.m.
' It will mark just the ninth time Wisconsin will have faced a Southeastern Conference opponent. UW has played the Tigers just once, a 7-7 tie in 1931.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
' The men's basketball team (8-1) travels to face Alabama (7-2) on Tuesday at the Coleman Coliseum (15,316) in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The game will tip-off at 8:06 p.m. CT. This will be UW's final non-conference road game of the season.
' The Badgers are ranked 15th in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll and 19th in the Associated Press poll. Alabama is not ranked.
' Wisconsin has won five consecutive games, the longest winning streak in the Big Ten. This is the 15th time in school history, and first since 2000-01, that UW has started a season 8-1.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
' This week, the Badgers (5-3 overall) travel to 25th-ranked Boston College, Dec. 30, and start the Big Ten Conference season on the road at No. 18 Ohio State (4-1) Jan. 2.
' The BC Eagles won seven straight games to open the season before losing in overtime at George Washington, 75-76. BC was picked to finish fifth in the Big East in the coaches preseason poll behind defending national champion UConn, Rutgers, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech.
' Wisconsin faces Ohio State to open Coach Lisa Stone 's first Big Ten Conference season in Columbus.
MEN'S HOCKEY
' Men's hockey (12-4-4, 6-2-4 WCHA) returns to Western Collegiate Hockey Association action with the first games of 2004. The Badgers visit Minnesota State (4-11-3, 3-7-2 WCHA) for games on Friday and Saturday. Friday 's game begins at 7:35 p.m., while Saturday's start is 7:05 p.m.
' The teams met in Madison on Dec. 12 and 13, with the Badgers winning 4-1 and 3-2. The first game of the series was suspended during the third period because of a power outage in Madison and was completed prior to the second contest on Dec. 13.
WRESTLING
' Wisconsin travels to Arlington, Texas for the 2004 Lonestar Duals all day Saturday.
' The Badgers (5-1 overall) will wrestle Brown, Harvard and Cornell.
