Badger Men Golfers Lead After First Two Rounds

Wisconsin is in the lead after the first two rounds of competition at the Diable Grande Intercollegiate in Patterson, Calif. The team shot rounds of 301 and 289 to total 590 strokes and its nearest competitor by 15 strokes. Boise State is in second place of the nine-team tournament with a score of 605.
Sophomore Kevin Tassitro led all individuals, carding rounds of 75 and 71 (146). Senior Joel Rechlicz (74-73--147) and sophomore Dylan Esterling (73-75--148) were right behind in a tie for second and fourth respectively. Also in the top five was sophomore Brian Brodell in a tie for fifth with a score of 149 (79-70). Sophomores Wes Hansen also competed, tying for 15th with rounds of 74 and 79 (153).
Play wraps up Tuesday with a final 18-hole round.
