Badger Men Golfers Struggle at Kepler Invitational

Wisconsin faced rough waters in the first 36 holes of the Kepler Invitational in Columbus, Ohio, sitting in a tie for fifteenth of the 18-team field. The Badgers 18-hole scores of 319-306 tied with Notre Dame's total of 625 strokes. Carding 297-294 '591 the host Buckeyes lead the competitors, which includes fierce Big Ten teams Ilinois, Iowa, Michigan, Northwestern, and Purdue.
The Badgers were led by sophomores Kevin Tassistro (76-80) and Dylan Esterling (73-83), both totaling 156 to sit in a tie for 58th. In a tie for 72nd is sophomore Brian Brodell with scores of 81-77'158. Rounding out the Badger competition is senior Joel Rechlicz (80-79) and sophomore Wes Hansen (82-77), both with 159 totals.
Play at the 7,251-yard Ohio State University Scarlet Golf Course resumes Sunday at 8 a.m. with a final 18-hole round.
